Tonight, I’m just taking it easy. I don’t really know what to write about. I think I’m just exhausted from the heat. Sometimes, there are no words to say, no speeches to give to inspire or motivate. Sometimes, I just have to be still, and that’s okay. It’s not supposed to always be go, go, go. I can miss important things if I’m always in a rush. So tonight, I’m permitting myself to take it slow.
I think I’m going to write an easy piece about checking in on myself; my well-being. It’s been a while since I did that. Overall, I’m doing fine. I’m happy with my life even though there are some improvements that I would like to make. Mentally, I’m stable (thank GOD). I make sure to get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. I do things throughout the day to stay mentally stimulated, which helps my thinking. Staying mentally stimulated also helps to keep my mind on productive things rather than problems.
Socially, things are looking on the up and up. I was isolated for a few years, and even though interacting again on social media is a bit overwhelming, I feel like I picked up where I left off. But I don’t want all of my social relationships to be based on social media. I have a few friends that I interact with beyond the realm of social media from time to time, and that’s a nice balance. I’m an introvert by nature, so too many social exchanges tend to drain me easily. Personally, I think social media has made us lonelier. Sure, our online presence can speak volumes, but what about those times when we really need someone to rely on, or those times we don’t want to post our business to the world at large? I hope each person reading this has at least one person they can look to for support.
Financially, yeah, it’s being maintained, but that’s one area in my life that needs improvement. From what I can tell, a lot of people are feeling this way. Thankfully, I have what I need, and most of my obligations are being met. I’m just waiting for the big turnaround, if there is a big turnaround for me. I have nothing to complain about, though. Others are in a worse spot than me. People who don’t have a roof over their heads, who don’t have a penny to their name, and people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. So I’ll take my life and be grateful for where I am.
Spiritually, I feel good. No, I don’t go to church…Personally, I think that’s a traditional practice, but to each their own. I do pray, and I read the bible, listen to gospel music, and I practice reading tarot cards. For me, it’s nice to know that no matter how crazy this world gets, there is someone looking out for us. It’s quite humbling. I thank GOD for the peace and comfort HE provides in the midst of the chaos. It helps me to get through tough times. So, I think I’m going to wrap this post up here. This was just a quick check-in on where I’m currently. Thanks for reading!
