About Me

My name is Joy and I am a novice writer and storyteller. I have always enjoyed the creative arts. I take pleasure in theater, music, poetry, and artistry of all kinds. After working in the human services field for over twelve years, I decided to switch up my career path. Since I am intrigued by the craft of writing and the art of storytelling I thought what better way to explore those areas, and the creative arts, than with blogging.

I started blogging in 2018 when the concept of Jester’s Treasures came to me. I found it rewarding to share my personal stories, insights, and thoughts with the world via the internet. I also found it comforting to express my creative side through photography and words. In 2020 I took a step back from blogging but it was always something I intended to get back into.

At university, I majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and although it may not seem important now, I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to learn about the depths of human nature. Perhaps, being that this is a blog centered around the creative arts and storytelling, those subjects may still come in handy.

So far I’ve written one book, Jester’s Treasures: A Collection of Poetic Tomfoolery. I enjoyed the experience and I’m hoping to accomplish more published works. By blogging again, I desire to rekindle my creativity, hone in on the crafts of writing and storytelling, explore the creative arts, and meet new people. I’m excited to continue on this journey and see where the path leads.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little about me. I look forward to our time together.

 Sincerely,

 Joy M.
